Physical properties: colorless or light yellow transparent liquid with slight smell，soluble in water and various kinds of organic solvents. Soluble in water, methanol, ethyl acetate, ethanol, methylene chloride, hydrocarbon（hydrocarbon）. Stored in sealed, low temperature, neutral or weak alkali conditions.

NVP has medium toxicity, slight odor, corrosion to rubber, leather. ·Avoid polymerization before it is used.

Cosmetics: PVP/VA series products play a good role as film-former and hair- fixing agent. It’s hygroscopicity decrease with increase in the proportion of vinylacetate in the molecular. This property is extremely useful for PVP/VA as hair spays and hair- setlotion. If used with PVP- K30, the effect would be enhanced.
Other Utility: Remoistenable adhesive and other adhesives for paper. Viscosity-enhancing agent and protecting colloid for printing ink. Water-soluble PVP/VA 64 series, can act as emulsing agent and protecting colloid for plant-protecting Chemicals and other dispersing systems. Binder in coatings.
